AGE 15, GRADE 10 (2018)
Jeniffer loves being a student. “If it wasn’t for Kakenya’s Dream organization, I wouldn’t be going to school,” she says. Many of the girls near her home do not go to school. Jeniffer, however, dreams about high school and university, where she plans to study medicine and become a doctor. She hopes her future profession will lift her parents and siblings out of poverty. Despite her and her siblings humble backgrounds, she is grateful they’ve been supported in their education and thinks they will lead better lives because of it.
When not studying, Jeniffer plays football as position nine, a center striker who likes to score goals. She believes that sports are a good way to keep fit and relax the mind, which she was first taught during the school’s Health and Leadership Training.
