Leah is an alumna of the Georgetown University Leadership and Advocacy for Women in Africa (LAWA) Fellowship Program and an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya with almost fifteen years’ experience and expertise in domestic and international aspects of child and family law. She is also experienced in and enjoys real estate and conveyancing law.
Part of the team that founded the Law Society of Kenya Child Law Practitioners Committee (now reconstituted as the Gender Committee), Leah has also worked as a faculty member at the Kenyatta University School of Law teaching family law and international human rights courses, is a Facilit8 SDRC Accredited Mediator, and has recently joined the faculty of the Trial Advocacy Training Institute, an organization promoting best practices in trial advocacy in Kenya. For fun, Leah enjoys all things chocolate, travel and curling up on her sofa with a good book, when her kids allow her.
