Lee Crane Wood is a recently-retired consultant with over 35 years of experience in all phases of nonprofit management. 

Her firm, Strategies for Growth, specialized in executive search, strategic and program planning and design, board, organization and staff training and development for non-profit clients in the fields of human services and education. 

Earlier in her career, Lee held various senior management positions at Children’s Express Worldwide News Network (CE), a Pulitzer-nominated news service by children for adult audiences.  Prior to CE,  Lee was a principal in the Washington, DC office of Korn/Ferry International, an executive search firm where she conducted searches for both corporate and non-profit leaders.

Lee received a BA in English and history from Texas Christian University and currently serves on the board of the Kakenya Center for Excellence (Chair 2010-2016). Lee also served as development chair and president of the board of Bright Beginnings, Inc. a nationally-accredited child and family development center, and has held numerous other volunteer and community board positions.
